tiger tennis1 150x150 Fremont Tigers lose to Lincoln Southeast in tennis dualThe Fremont Tigers were beaten 6-3 in a tennis dual against Lincoln Southeast on Friday, 9/26/08 at the FHS tennis complex.

Singles victories were won by Tyler Ketchem at No. 4, and Scott Speicher at No. 6.

Luke Samuelson and Alex Hamilton got a lone win in doubles at No. 3.

Lincoln Southeast is usually a tough team. It looks like they lived up to their reputation in this match.

Tigers beat Knights in tennis

tiger tennis1 150x150 Tigers beat Knights in tennisThe Fremont Tigers boys tennis team showed no mercy on the Elkhorn Mt. Michael Knights on Thursday, Sept 25 in a dual match at the FHS tennis complex. Fremont won the match 7-2.

Singles victories were won by Zach Weaver, Alec Richards, Tyler Ketchem, Jack Larsen and Scott Speicher. Wins in the doubles category came from Larsen and Richards, and Ketchem and Speicher.

Shut outs (8-0) were recorded by Zach Weaver at No. 1 singles, and by Larsen and Richards at No. 1 doubles.

Way to go team!

Fremont Boys finish 5th at invite

tiger tennis1 150x150 Fremont Boys finish 5th at inviteThe Fremont boys tennis team finished fifth out of eight schools at the FHS Invitational on Sept. 17, 2008. The top points for Fremont were won by the doubles team of Alec Richards and Jack Larsen with 14 points in No. 1 doubles. The No. 2 doubles team of Tyler Ketchem and Scott Speicher earned eight points, and Zach Weaver earned eight points at No. 1 singles. Spencer Brown also gave the team seven points at No. 2 singles.

Fremont Boys Tennis Team splits matches

tiger tennis1 150x150 Fremont Boys Tennis Team splits matchesOn Sept. 15, 2008, the Fremont boys tennis team had a split at the Papillion LaVista South/Omaha Westside Triangular. The Tigers defeated Papillion LaVista South 5-1, and then lost to Westside 5-1.

Zach Weaver, Spencer Brown and George Hartmann won in singles play against PLVS, and the doubles teams of Alec Richards & Jack Larsen and Luke Samuelson & Alex Hamilton also had victories.

Against Westside, Samuelson and Hamliton picked up the only win for the Tigers.

Indoor Tennis Leagues begin this week!
