The Women’s 2009 Summer Tennis Leagues are now forming. An entry form is available at
Women’s Summer League entry form.

There are two women’s league opportunities. Both are played as doubles teams on a rotating partners basis. One league will be played Tuesday mornings at 8:45 a.m. and the other on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. League play begins May 19 for the Tuesday a.m. league, and May 21 for the Thursday p.m. league.

The Fremont High School girls tennis team fell just a one short in a dual with Lincoln Southwest Thursday, April 23, 2009 at the Fremont High tennis complex. Fremont lost the tough dual 4-5.

Singles winners for Fremont were Jessica Spalding, Megan Robertson, and Erica Dickmeyer. In doubles play, Jessica Spalding and Megan Robertson were the only winners.

In singles play:

• No. 1 – Mallory Iseminger lost 0-8
• No. 2 – Sydney Robertson lost 0-8
• No. 3 – Jessica Spalding won 8-2
• No. 4 – Megan Robertson won 8-4
• No. 5 – Erica Dickmeyer won 8-1
• No. 6 – Jessye Johnson lost 3-8

In doubles play:

• No. 1 – Jessica Spalding and Megan Robertson won 8-4
• No. 2 – Erica Dickmeyer and Jessye Johnson lost 4-8
• No. 3 – Mallory Iseminger and Sydney Robertson lost 6-8

It was a close one. A couple of games and the outcome would have been different. Next time!

The Fremont High School Girls Tennis Team handed a 6-3 defeat to Columbus at the Fremont High tennis complex on Tuesday, April 21, 2009.

Singles winners for Fremont were Jessica Spalding, Megan Robertson, Erica Dickmeyer and Jessye Johnson. The doubles team of Jessica Spalding and Sydney Robertson won as well as the doubles team of Erica Dickmeyer and Jessye Johnson.

In singles play:

• No. 1 – Mallory Iseminger lost 4-8
• No. 2 – Sydney Robertson lost 4-8
• No. 3 – Jessica Spalding won 8-6
• No. 4 – Megan Robertson won 8-0
• No. 5 – Erica Dickmeyer won 8-1
• No. 6 – Jessye Johnson won 8-5

In doubles play:

• No. 1 – Jessica Spalding and Megan Robertson won 8-1
• No. 2 – Erica Dickmeyer and Jessye Johnson won 8-1
• No. 3 – Mallory Iseminger and Sydney Robertson lost 5-8

The Fremont High girls tennis team posted a 7-2 victory against Norfolk April 13, 2009. The Lady Tigers won five of six singles matches, and two of three doubles matches. Jessica Spalding, Megan Robertson, Erica Dickmeyer, Jessye Johnson, and Mallory Iseminger were all singles winners. The No. 1 doubles team of Jessica Spalding and Megan Robertson continued strong with a shutout win at No. 1 doubles. Erica Dickmeyer and Jessye Johnson were also doubles winners.

In singles play:

• No. 1 – Jessica Spalding won 8-1
• No. 2 – Megan Robertson won 8-2
• No. 3 – Erica Dickmeyer won 8-0
• No. 4 – Jessye Johnson won 9-7
• No. 5 – Mallory Iseminger won 9-7
• No. 6 – Sydney Robertson lost 3-8

In doubles play:

• No. 1 – Jessica Spalding and Megan Robertson won 8-0
• No. 2 – Erica Dickmeyer and Jessye Johnson won 8-2
• No. 3 – Mallory Iseminger and Sydney Robertson lost 5-8
