Doane College defeated both the Women’s and Men’s Midland College tennis teams on Wednesday, April 14 in Fremont. The Midland Women’s team played Doane close, falling 5-4. The Doane Men’s team posted an 8-1 win over Midland.

The Lady Warriors were able to win three matches in singles, including Nellie Buchta (6-0, 6-4), Heidi Renter (7-5, 7-5), and Marcy Lieneman, who won 7-6 (7-3), 7-5. The doubles team of Ali Fuerst and Buchta also won 8-5.

In Men’s action, Luke Borst and Andrew Crow were the lone winners for the Warriors with a close win, 9-8 (7-5).
