The 2012 tournament schedule is out. You may view upcoming tournaments here – Tournaments – or by clicking on the “Tournament” button on the right any time throughout the year.

Any tournaments that shows as a link may be clicked on for more information, or to enter online.

Enjoy the upcoming tournament season, and good luck to all in any tournaments you may choose to play. See you on the court!

Also, you may check out the Midland University and Fremont High School schedules by clicking on the appropriate button on the right. If you have a chance, stop by and offer your support by watching some of the matches.

2011 Schedules and Tournaments updated

The 2011 Nebraska Adult Tournament schedule has been entered and can be accessed by clicking on the “Tournaments” menu button at the top right.

Also the Midland University Boys Tennis Team schedule is available by clicking on the “Midland” button. They have already played two matches. Their next match is scheduled for Friday, March 18, 3:30 p.m. at the YMCA or High School courts, depending on the weather. If you have a chance, stop by and give them your support. Check back here for their next matches, and results of completed matches.

The Fremont High School Girls Tennis Team schedule is available by clicking on the FHS button. Their first match is scheduled for Thursday, March 24, 4:00 p.m. at the FHS Tennis Courts. Stop by and cheer them on if you can. Check back here for to see when their next matches are scheduled, and to see the results of completed matches.

Doane Sweeps MLC Tennis Teams

Doane College defeated both the Women’s and Men’s Midland College tennis teams on Wednesday, April 14 in Fremont. The Midland Women’s team played Doane close, falling 5-4. The Doane Men’s team posted an 8-1 win over Midland.

The Lady Warriors were able to win three matches in singles, including Nellie Buchta (6-0, 6-4), Heidi Renter (7-5, 7-5), and Marcy Lieneman, who won 7-6 (7-3), 7-5. The doubles team of Ali Fuerst and Buchta also won 8-5.

In Men’s action, Luke Borst and Andrew Crow were the lone winners for the Warriors with a close win, 9-8 (7-5).

Midland Warriors Blanked by Nebraska Wesleyan

The Midland Lutheran College men’s and women’s tennis teams ran into a roadblock Wednesday in a Great Plains Athletic Conference matchup in Lincoln against Nebraska Wesleyan. The Prairie Wolve’s men’s and women’s teams both posted 9-0 wins over the Warriors.

Erica Dickmeyer, a former Fremont High tennis player who now plays at Wesleyan as a freshman, recorded wins at No. 2 doubles and No. 4 singles.

The MLC tennis teams return to action April 8 at Concordia in Seward.

Midland College Tennis Teams Split Against Doane

The Midland Lutheran College Warriors men’s and women’s tennis teams were in action Saturday, March 27 against Doane College in a Great Plains Athletic Conference matchup. The Midland Women defeated Doane 5-4, while the Doane’s men’s team defeated Midland 8-1.

Winning for Midland in singles were Nellie Buchta at No. 2, Ali Fuerst at No. 3, Heidi Renter at No. 4, and Dominique Romero at No. 6. Buchta and Fuerst also teamed up to get a win at No. 2 doubles.

Andrew Crow was the lone winner for the Midland men’s team at No. 4 singles.

The Midland Warriors men’s and women’s tennis teams are hard at it. Their schedules are posted under Midland College on the right under FTA Information. The results will also be posted on the schedule after each match.
